Upcoming meme coin launches 2026

New meme coins launch on Solana every day and most of them vanish. Here’s where launches show up, how a pump.fun launch works, what to check before you buy, and the one we think is the most exciting upcoming launch. (We’re biased. We’re Vikings.)

Our pick: Viking Cat ($VIKING)

Viking Cat is a cat in a horned helmet who rowed a longship to the moon before Apollo 11 got there. The meme fits in one line: Vikings get there first. $VIKING is the coin, launching on pump.fun on Solana.

Why we call it the most exciting upcoming launch: the story is history people already know, because Leif Erikson beat Columbus to America. The meme already made Elon Musk laugh (“Viking energy!”, 25 Feb 2023). It’s a cat, and the internet runs on cats. And the sticker pack is ready on day one. That’s our case. Your decision should come from the checklist below.

Where upcoming meme coin launches show up

There is no official calendar. On pump.fun anyone can create a coin, and it exists the second it’s created. So an “upcoming launch” usually means a crew announces a name and a home, then posts the contract address (CA) at launch.

  • pump.fun: new coins appear on the pump.fun board as they’re created. Every coin gets a page with its chart, trades and holders.
  • DexScreener: live charts and pair data for Solana tokens on DexScreener.
  • The project’s own site: the only safe place to copy the CA. For $VIKING that’s vikingcat.fun, the site you’re on.

How a pump.fun launch works

pump.fun launches have no presale and no whitelist. Everyone buys from the same bonding curve: the price goes up as people buy and down as they sell.

When the curve fills, the coin graduates and trading moves to PumpSwap, pump.fun’s own DEX (The Block, Bitquery). Earlier graduates went to Raydium.

Graduating is rare. The Block counted 0.7% of pump.fun launches graduating in February 2025, down from a peak of 2.1% in June 2024 (The Block). Most coins never leave the curve.

How to judge an upcoming meme coin launch

Meme coins have no intrinsic value, and nobody, us included, can tell you which one will explode. What you can do is check the basics before you buy:

  • The CA comes from the project itself. Copy it from the official site, never from a reply or a DM. Copycat coins with the same name and logo are common.
  • Top holders. On the coin’s pump.fun page, look at who holds the most. One wallet with a huge share can sell into you.
  • The creator’s buy. On pump.fun the creator can buy at launch. It’s on-chain, so check it.
  • A real crowd. People making memes and posting, not just bots and a countdown.
  • Promises. Anyone promising returns is guessing. “Next 100x” is a meme, not a forecast.
  • Size. Only use money you can lose in full.

Skål. We think $VIKING passes this test, but we’re biased. Check it yourself at launch: if this page and the chain ever disagree, trust the chain.

Questions

When do upcoming meme coins launch?

Whenever their creators launch them. On pump.fun a coin exists the second it’s created, so there’s no fixed calendar: projects announce a name and a home in advance and post the contract address at launch. $VIKING posts its CA on vikingcat.fun first.

Do new Solana meme coins on pump.fun have a presale?

No. pump.fun has no presale or whitelist: everyone buys from the same bonding curve after launch. Anyone selling you a $VIKING presale is not us.

What is the next meme coin to explode?

Nobody knows, and anyone who says they do is selling something. Our favourite upcoming launch is Viking Cat ($VIKING), but we’re biased. Use the checklist on this page and never buy with money you can’t lose.
